The goal of the UGO-Open-Science-Award is to promote open science projects and initiatives at the Carl von Ossietzky Universität Oldenburg. The award is directed at projects and initiatives that follow open science principles in their work and actively strive to make research results transparent and accessible to the public. The UGO-Open-Science-Award is awarded annually and is endowed with 1000 €. Applications can be submitted until 20 April 2026. The award ceremony will take place as part of the Science Slam on 17 June 2025. All members and affiliates of the University of Oldenburg are eligible for application. Applications are open to groups as well as individuals.
